The founders of Iowans for Health Liberty wrote an Op-Ed that was published in the Des Moines Register on June 16, 2023, to support the Iowa Supreme Court deadlock to keep SF359 permanently enjoined, protecting women’s rights to access health care, including abortion services, in early pregnancy without interference from the government. Based on the Iowa State Motto, “Our liberties we price and our rights we will maintain”, the authors maintained that the state of Iowa to strive and maintain the rights and liberties of patients and their providers to make their own healthcare decisions that are the best for them, keeping the government out of sensitive medical decisions.
