In response to Rep. Miller-Meeks’ town hall in Iowa City tonight, local medical providers released the following statements about her dangerous anti-abortion record:
“Like Republican politicians up and down the ballot, Rep. Miller-Meeks is going against the will of over 60% of Iowans that support access to safe and legal abortion,” said Dr. Andrea Greiner. “As a physician herself, she should know better than to insert the government into doctors’ exam rooms. Keep personal medical decisions between doctors and their patients. Abortion bans, like those Rep. Miller Meeks supported in the state and federal legislature, prevent me from providing my patients the basic standard of care. Pregnancy is too complicated to legislate.”
